Portable computers can be classed as laptops, netbooks, palmtops and PC Tablets. Most laptops are bit like desktops/microcomputers but more compact and mobile. Laptops are useful for office and traveling purposes, but have a limit technical specs in contrast to desktops. The main drawback on laptops is the battery life - depending on the power consumption on the laptop, and how much milliAmps stored and drained in the battery. Other portable computers include smartphones, and tablets which are commonly powered by the ARM chipset which are dedicated for small computers. The common ARM architecture that are found in the Operating Systems are: Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Apple iOS and HP WebOS?? Most ordinary Pay-as-you-go phone many not use the major OS mentioned previously but use Java scripts which are more simpler for non-smartphones. PC Tablets are bit like laptops but with no keyboard. PC Tablets in the market today mostly contain a accelerometer for tilting the tablet into the correct angle and ratio like a gyroscope. Some tablets contain a 3G network powered hardware, which enabled mobile phone network access, but most tablets use wifi access as well.
